AA has been a longtime supporter of the Taylor Michaels Scholarship Program. AA has provided airline travel to our students during our leadership conference for many years in addition to providing operating support to the Foundation.

Bank of America provides monetary support to our CECs. Through the generosity of Bank of America we have been able to increase our workforce development and financial literacy efforts.
Best Buy Co.
Magic Johnson Enterprises entered into a multi-year relationship with Best Buy Co., Inc in February 2008. Through this strategic relationship, Best Buy has also partnered with the Magic Johnson Foundation by supporting the scholarship program, annual holiday party and most recently our Community Empowerment Centers. Best Buy will install insignia brand items in the centers, enhance current technology connectivity and promote volunteerism at the CEC’s within the Best Buy retail stores.
Cisco has been a supporter of the Magic Johnson Foundation since 2003. Cisco provides critical technical support that keeps our Community Empowerment Centerss connected to each other and the world with Telepresence and WebEx allowing us to present distance learning classes and maximize efficiencies. In addition to connective technology, Cisco has also provided free training and certification to students that attend our Community Empowerment Centers.
A partner since 2012, the UK based company supports the Magic Johnson Foundation’s literacy efforts with their award winning online educational programs for reading and spelling. Through the generosity of Easyread, MJF is able to make critical investments in today’s youth that will disrupt the impact of illiteracy.
Ella Fitzgerald Foundation
FedEx has gone above and beyond in their support. The organization has supported MJF in its entirety not only through financial contributions but also through their volunteerism efforts. FedEx has taken an active role in the following: Taylor Michaels Scholarship Program, Leadership Conference: training and development, our Community Empowerment Centers and annual holiday party.
A strong support of our Community Empowerment Centers since 2003, Freddie Mac is the longest standing supporter of our CECs. The relationship started with Freddie mac’s “Lansing, Catch the Dream” home ownership program. The relationship expanded when MJF aligned with their “Hoops for the Homeless” event. The multi-year commitment and overwhelming generosity of Freddie Mac has allowed us to impact thousands of lives and create hope for those who were becoming hopeless.
IBM supports our Community Empowerment Centers via Reading Companion. They have supported us with both cash and in-kind access to their interactive learning platform. The program that was originally designed as a reading readiness program for pre-schoolers supports adult learning and financial literacy at our CECs. Over $100K in both cash and in-kind has been donated byIBM.
In 2013 JCP Cares became a supporter of our Community Empowerment Centers. Through their generous support, we have been able to expand our literacy programs and provide new technology at some of our CECs.
Microsoft has been a supporter of the Magic Johnson Foundation Community Empowerment Centers over the last seven years. Microsoft has awarded software in excess of two million dollars which include the core suite and the previous Magic School Bus series for youth. Microsoft has also supported the Taylor Michaels Scholarship Program.
One World Literacy Foundation
One World Literacy Foundation is the newest supporter of our Community Empowerment Centers. Through their generous support, we have been able to provide youth in grades K-12 access to award winning online educational software. O.W.L has made a commitment of over 100K software licenses that we will be able to donate to low income youth. O.W.L supports our literacy efforts locally, nationally and soon to be internationally.
In 2012 Paul Mitchell Schools became a supporter of the Magic Johnson Foundation as part of their FUNraising campaign. Through a series of events hosted at participating Paul Mitchell Schools across the country, over $100K was raised and donated to MJF to support our programs.
A proud supporter of the Magic Johnson Foundation since 2011, State Farm insurance have provided financial support to our Community Empowerment Centers to support financial literacy and teen driving safety. In addition to monetary support, State Farm employees also donate their time to support our programs at our CECs.
Because of Toyota’s commitment to education, they have provided core programmatic support in helping to launch our College Access Initiative through its Taylor Michaels Scholarship Program.
U.S. Bank has been a generous supporter of our CECs since 2010. They have been an exemplary partner who always stands prepared to lend any support that is needed. In addition to providing monetary support, U.S. Bank also engages their employees to support our work in the community.
